New version released!

with 7 comments

After an initial analysis of our survey we have concluded that almost more than 50% of the test subjects wanted a way of typing a comment for an article.
We have implemented this in a way where it is possible to put a text icon wherever you want on the article, when someone moves his/her mouse over this icon the typed comment becomes visible in a speech balloon.

Besides this we have added extra tooltips and it is now also possible to add articles from and!

Please test the new functionality on
We are still looking for more test subjects for the survey, see our previous blog post.

  1. I like that there is now an option to add text, however I would prefer it if the text appeared directly on the article, without having to hover over it to see it.
It is nice to see that you add features requested by users. Keep up the good work!

  2. Although I like this application very much, I think it would better suit on a tablet computer where I can easily draw. After a while it get’s harder to do so. Maybe an option to really type text, not only on a post it note would be good. Or add some default brushes.

Also did you reset the questionnaire for the new version, because otherwise the results could interfere. Like with the paper prototype I think it is best not to change your version during evaluations!

    • There were plans to put the application on the iPad but implementation seems rather hard and out of the scope of this project?
We didn’t change the questionnaire. Adding the post-it feature was an update which we’ve added because I also thought it was annoying that I had to draw text… If you’re sure that adding you’re going to add a feature in the future then I don’t see the reason why you would torture yourself for a few more weeks. :p

  3. I wonder if no one commented on the fact you have to double click on an article to open it. Something users aren’t used to in a webbrowser.

Ps: I like the app very much

    • Users have indeed commented on that fact! But we aren’t doing too much adjustments at the moment.

  4. Is there a way to save one’s “work” on an article? I can’t seem to figure out how…

    • It should save changes automatically on the moment you leave the article. Didn’t you see changes when you checked out the article for the second time?
EDIT Just checked it out and apparently it’s a cache problem… We’ll try to fix it as soon as possible.
EDIT It should be fixed now. Strange that this didn’t happen sooner???
